A message from Council Member Vicky Marin

My family and I moved to DuPont because it is a great place to live: it has a beautiful environment, a rich history, a growing economy, and a wonderfully diverse community. I believe it is important to maintain DuPont’s unique character and preserve our quality of living for years to come.

I am honored to have the opportunity to serve you on the city council. In the years ahead, I will continue my work to improve our public safety, keep our natural environment beautiful, and improve opportunities for economic growth in the city.

I believe:

• Public safety – Our neighborhoods should be safe and our homes protected.

• Jobs and opprtunity – Family wage jobs and a thriving business sector are essential to keeping DuPont vital.

• Quality of life – Our streets and parks should be maintained, and our unique history preserved.

• Our tax dollars should be spent wisely – In these tough economic times, we need to be good stewards of our community’s pocketbook.

We have come a long way from company town to mature community. Working together, we can accomplish great things and ensure that DuPont has a bright future. I am personally committed to serving you with honesty and integrity and ensuring that the city makes responsible choices as we move toward the future.

Over the last year, I have had the pleasure of meeting community members from walks of life and hearing their unique concerns. I welcome your input and hope you will continue to communicate your ideas and share your vision for how to make our city a better place to live, work, and raise a family.
